Property History and Description

The Masonic Temple building was constructed around 1917 by the Masons who used primarily the third and forth floors for their activities. The ground level of the building contains retail and banking space. The 6,000 square foot space at the corner of Marin and Virginia Streets was formerly occupied by Bayview Federal Bank and Independence Savings and still has a vault, safety deposit boxes and a night deposit box. This space is being renovated and will be ready for commercial rental in September 2004. On the second  and fourth level is a variety of office spaces and studios.

The grand entrance has a mahogany stairway leading to the third floor which contains three large spacious rooms used for performing arts, exhibitions, weddings, banquets and concerts.
